To preserve the travel experience for future generations.

Tourism Cares is a national nonprofit organized by the travel and tourism industry to give back to worthy non-profit tourism-related sites around the world, provide financial assistance and support to the next generation of travel and tourism professionals, and host unique volunteer restoration projects designed specifically for travel professionals.

GRANTS - We award grants to non-profit sites around the world working to fulfill the conservation, preservation, restoration and educational needs of cultural, historic, or natural sites. To date Tourism Cares has awarded grants to 143 organizations in 42 states and 26 countries.

SCHOLARSHIPS – We award more than $100,000 every year to tourism or hospitality students attending educational institutions primarily in the U.S. and Canada. The Tourism Cares Endowment includes: the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA), International Airlines Travel Agent Network (IATAN), and NTA, totals nearly $2 million.

VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS – We hold annual volunteer programs that restore, rehabilitate and preserve some of America’s most treasured historic and cultural sites. To date we have held programs at the following sites:

In the past 9 years over 2,623 volunteers have donated over 22,664 hours at a value of $424,223.
