The mission of the Buzzing for Change Foundation is to improve the lives of children living with cancer, while educating and engaging collegiate communities, developing strong student leaders, and inspiring action through participation.
The Buzzing for Change Foundation accomplishes its mission by working with students on college campuses to run one day events where participants shave their heads and/or cut their hair to make wigs for children who lose their hair due to disease. Those who want to participate, but are not comfortable parting with their hair, are encouraged to volunteer, donate or find a way to participate at their comfort level. Members of Buzzing for Change shave their heads in solidarity with those who lose their hair due to chemotherapy. Participants are encouraged to recruit sponsorship for a local charity that works to improve the lives of children living with cancer.
