The Ladybug Project connects communities around the world to advance education and healthcare in the African countries of Equatorial Guinea, Ghana, and Madagascar.
The Ladybug Project was founded by Kim Reuter in 2010, a conservation biologist whose time working in Africa compelled her to help make a difference. The volunteer-based organization has since grown rapidly, with headquarters in Florida and development offices in Philadelphia. Projects include supply shipments to West Africa (over 1500 pounds in 2010 and 2011), school and clinic renovation projects in Equatorial Guinea and Madagascar, and HIV/AIDS prevention work in Ghana. The Ladybug Project strives to partner with schools and clinics who would otherwise not receive aid, especially in Equatorial Guinea (West Africa), where we are one of the few organizations currently tackling social development issues. With bi-yearly visits to all project sites and local volunteer networks, we insure the aid is targeted and needed. In 2011, eighty-two percent of our expenditure was charitable and we created $4 in volunteer services for every $1 donated to our cause! All the work we achieve is possible only because of our fantastic supporters - thank you for helping us, help others!
