The Fund is dedicated to helping firefighters and their families in times of crisis. Most are reluctant to ask for help, but need assistance because tragedy has left them in severe financial turmoil. When a firefighter is killed in the line of duty, the fund helps widows pay rent, buy clothing for their children or put food on the table. It also helps disabled firefighters suffering from burns, wounds, lung problems and job-related cancers.
