Beach Cities Symphony Association

The mission of the Beach Cities Symphony Association is to bring fine classical music to the community in free concerts. The BCSA attracts the young, the old, families and working people, students and all lovers of fine music, especially those shut out of the concert hall by the cost of a ticket.

The Beach Cities Symphony presents 4 free classical concerts per year, entertaining and enriching audiences and orchestra members alike. The orchestra plays masterworks of classical music and also presents new works by Southern California composers. In 60 years of serving the community, the BCSA has never charged admission to a concert: never has, never will.

The Symphony includes advanced amateur musicians in the orchestra, together with professional musicians. The annual “Artists of the Future” concert features 4 exceptionally-talented young soloists, who have competed to each play a concerto movement with the orchestra. The association seeks to enrich the cultural life of individuals and the community through performances, newsletters, a website and preconcert talks.
