Animals Need Assistance is an all volunteer organization dedicated to humanely decreasing the feral cat population by engaging in a consistent trap/sterilize/release program while providing a safe haven, medical care, and an opportunity for adoption for homeless animals. ANA also provides assistance and advice to economically underprivileged persons in need of medical care for their pets.
In tough economic times, many households find that they no longer have the means to care for their pets. Animals, some of them sick, are released to become neighborhood strays, where they not only are forced to live in deplorable and cruel conditions, but also may come into contact with other homeless animals and spread disease.
ANA ensures that each donation goes directly to these animals in need. ANA has virtually no administrative costs. In addition to running ANA on a purely voluntary basis, its officers and directors engage in all of the activities of the organization -- from fund-raising to caring for the animals -- without accepting a salary.
