Wheels of Hope for Homeless Pets is a small fleet of vans that drives dogs and cats from NYC's Animal Care & Control to shelters and rescue groups with the resources to find them new homes.
Wheels of Hope is crucial to the decrease of euthanasia at NYC shelters and allows dogs and cats to be moved out of these shelters more quickly – reducing the chance that they become sick and freeing cage space for new arrivals.
Wheels of Hope for Homeless Pets is the transport program of the Mayor’s Alliance for New York City’s Animals.
