Saint Peter’s Prep Mission Drive

Saint Peter’s Prep Mission Drive

The Mission Drive at Saint Peter’s Prep helps support educational and social missions that work with and for the poor throughout the world. Each year, the Mission Drive collects and distributes some $30,000 to medical clinics, schools, and social service agencies that are administered by the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits) in places as far off as Micronesia and Ecuador and as close to home as New York City.

The Mission Drive at Saint Peter’s Prep serves the poor in some of the neediest places – not just in developing countries, but also in the United States. Money raised through the Mission Drive helps support a full social-service program in Ecuador (which includes schooling, occupational training, medical and dental care for children and adults), funds tuition assistance programs for low-income students in New York City, and supports Jesuit schools in Micronesia and Nigeria. The Mission Drive is also in the process of making small, no-interest ‘micro-loans’ available to individuals in developing and third-world countries to provide them with educational and business opportunities. All of the programs supported by the Mission Drive are administered by the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits) or its partner organizations.
