The Baby Pantry provides, free of charge, to all pregnant women and children ages 0 to 3, diapers, wipes, lotions, cereal, food, clothing, toys and bottles for children ages 0 to 3. No financial prequalification is needed to receive these benefits, one must only prove residence in Grand Traverse County. (There are Baby Pantrys that serve Leelanau, Benzie and Antrim counties as well.)
The Baby Pantry is volunteer run and receives donations of non-perishable items like clothing and toys, but must purchase non-recyclables such as food, wipes, shampoo, and pay for insurance at the pantry location.
