Kujali International is hosting its very first fundraising challenge where a team of international climbers will meet in Tanzania to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. The goal of the climb is to raise $120,000 ‐ the final amount needed to complete the physical and technological infrastructure of HOCET Secondary School, the first free, private secondary boarding school for orphaned teens in Mkuranga, Tanzania.
A team of ten Americans and five Tanzanians will meet in Dar‐es‐Salaam, Tanzania in August for a welcome ceremony and a day tour of the school they’ve helped to build. The team will then venture north to Moshi, Tanzania for a 6‐day, 5‐night trek of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak on the continent of Africa at 19,340 feet. Each climber has committed to raising a minimum of $10,000 to support Kujali's mission of completing construction on HOCET Secondary School, and expanding the educational opportunities available to orphaned children in East Africa.
