Bikes for Books
Bikes for Books is a reading incentive program designed for children in grades K-8. Bikes For Books is very simple. Each student is asked to read as many books as they can in a set amount of time. For each book the student reads they get an entry form to fill out. The entry form includes the name of the book, a short description of the book, the name, grade, and class of the student. After they complete the entry form they put it into the appropriate container for their class. The more books they read, the more entry forms they can put into the drawing. At the end of the quarter members of the Lodge and staff from the schools will go to school during an assembly with the new bikes and helmets to draw one entry form from out of each container (one boy and one girl from each grade). The student whose name is on the entry form gets a new bike and helmet to take home.

Mmofra Trom Bead Project
The Mmofra Trom Bead Project raises funds to cover high school education costs for vulnerable Ghanaian children. These auspicious children were given a scholarship to Mmofra Trom, a prestigious elementary school located near Somanya, Ghana. Upon their graduation from Mmofra Trom, they have an enormous potential to benefit their entire community. Unfortunately, there is currently not enough funding to cover their high school tuition costs. The Mmofra Trom Bead Project’s priority is to ensure that each child has the opportunity to have a high school education. 100% of all profits, 85 cents of every dollar, go directly into an account for their future tuition costs.
