ADK-NJ Epsilon is the Union, New Jersey, chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa, an international honorary organization of women educators dedicated to educational excellence, altruism, and world understanding. Some of its purposes include recognizing outstanding females in teaching or specialized fields of the profession, promoting educational excellence, raising educational standards, engaging in charitable activities, sponsoring scholarships, cooperating with worthy community programs, and contributing to peace and goodwill.
Specifically, ADK-NJ Epsilon chapter members volunteer with and donate to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey and local food pantries and a soup kitchen, raise funds for local and international scholarships, make scarves and blankets for those in homeless shelters, give children's books to less fortunate families at the holidays, collect money for the American Diabetes Association and the American Heart Association, etc.
